Irish women fall to West Virginia; 21-game win streak ends

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- It was a somber weekend for the Fighting Irish.

The 21-game winning streak came to an end for the Notre Dame women. The No. 2 Irish picked up their second loss of the season Sunday in a last-minute nail biter.

It was at home against West Virginia. The final score was 65 to 63. Notre Dame had not lost a game since November 20th, when the team fell to top-ranked Baylor.

Notre Dame will host the Providence Friars, Tuesday night at home. Tip-off is at 7.
