Is Mike Sanford next to leave Notre Dame?

According to Sports Illustrated Senior Writer Pete Thamel, Mike Sanford could be the next coach at Western Kentucky.

Thamel tweeted Monday evening about the Notre Dame Offensive Coordinator’s future.

"Source: Notre Dame assistant Mike Sanford expected to be the next coach at Western Kentucky."

Sanford has been Offensive Coordinator at Notre Dame for two seasons now.

If Sanford did head over to Western Kentucky, he would be replacing Jeff Brohm who left Western Kentucky to become head coach at Purdue University.

UPDATE: WKBO in Bowling Green, Ky says Sanford is just interviewing for the job. Nothing is official, and no hire has been made.
