ISP investigating shooting involving Kosciusko County deputies
One suspect died and another suffered a gunshot wound after deputies with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office’s SWAT served a search warrant at a home in Wabash, according to Indiana State Police.
Around 5:45 p.m. Thursday, deputies served a search warrant at a home on E. Main Street in Wabash.
After entering the residence, there was an exchange of gunfire between deputies and the occupants of the home.
Roger D. Hipskind, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 35-year-old woman was transported to a hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police said it has not been determined whether Hipskind was shot by an officer or from a self-inflicted gunshot.
Two other people who were in the residence, Gabrielle Bolin, 26 and Curt Bolin, 31, were taken into custody on outstanding warrants.
Police said Kosciusko County deputies served the search warrant as part of a criminal investigation conducted by the Wabash County Sheriff’s Department.
