ISP release name of man killed in accident on US6

The Indiana State Police have released the name of the driver killed when his vehicle struck a semi head on Thursday night.

The accident happened around 10:30 p.m. on US 6 west of SR106 near Bremen.

The investigation by troopers indicates Skylar Evans, 23, was driving eastbound on US6 when he crossed the center line into the path of a semi headed westbound.

The driver of the semi was hauling a steel coil that detached from the trailer after impact and narrowly missed him in the cab of the truck as it rolled forward.
Evans was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the semi suffered minor injuries.

Police do not know what caused Evans to cross the center line. Toxicology results are pending.
