ISP trooper accused of committing battery against fellow employee

An Indiana State Police trooper with the Peru district was arrested Thursday on a misdemeanor battery charge.
Master Trooper Michael Meiser, 43, was booked into the Miami County Jail and posted bond.
Police launched an investigation after learning of allegations Meiser committed battery against an ISP employee.
Meiser has been with the ISP for 16 years.
He was assigned administrative duties until the criminal case and an internal investigation are completed.
The Peru district covers Fulton, Miami, Cass, Wabash, Howard, Tipton and Grant counties.
