ISU approves oil drilling on campus

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Last week Indiana State University announced it was considering letting a company search for oil on campus.

Now the board of trustees has officially approved it. Next year, crews will be digging underground at ISU’s Terre Haute campus.

If oil is found, Pioneer will give the university 15 percent in royalties.

It's been more than 200 years since there was oil drilling at an ISU campus.
