IU professor killed by motorcycle while vacationing in Bermuda

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Friends and family continue to mourn the death of an Indiana University professor.

Alexander Doty died in an accident during his vacation. The university said he worked as the chairman of the Department of Communication and Culture in Bloomington.

Thursday he was hit by a motorcycle while in Bermuda. Doty died after being rushed to the hospital in critical condition.

A 27-year-old man was arrested. He's suspected of driving while impaired causing the crash.
