IU to help Hoosier towns obtain federal funds for sustainability projects

SOUTH BEND, Ind.- The Indiana Resilience Funding Hub (IRFH) is designed to help Hoosiers in areas with less than 50,000 residents pursue federal funding for environmental sustainability projects.

The hub will offer technical assistance, trainings and connect residents with experts so local communities can adequately address environmental challenges in their area.

In July 2020, Indiana reported the estimated populations in all 567 of its towns, according to STATS Indiana, the state's public data utility.

558 towns in the state of Indiana have population estimates below 50,000, according to STATS Indiana's most recent report.

Local government and community leaders who are interested in this program should submit an interest form here.
