IUSB issues public safety advisory following attempted armed robbery
SOUTH BEND, Ind.—Indiana University South Bend issued a public safety advisory following an attempted armed robbery on Wednesday night.
Around 8:45 p.m. on February 6, IUPD received a report of an attempted armed robbery near at 21st Street near Mishawaka Avenue, approximately one block east of the IUSB campus.
It was reported that a suspect used a knife to try and steal a wallet from the victim.
Officers did not locate the suspect at the scene.
According to the public safety advisory notice, the suspect is described as a Hispanic male with light skin, approximately 6’1” tall, slim, and wearing a blue sweat shirt.
