Jack-knifed semi-truck causes part of U.S. 20 to shut down Friday

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- St. Joseph County Dispatch confirmed to ABC57 that U.S. 20 is currently shut down between Dogwood and Elm Roads as first responders clear the scene of a jack-knifed semi-truck in the westbound lanes.

St. Joseph County police say a call came in for the crash around 1:50 p.m., Friday

Authorities were still working to get the bypass re-opened as of 2:45 p.m.

We will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.

Police say there was another single-vehicle crash involving a pickup truck only hours before the semi crash.

No injuries have been reported at this time.
