Judge halts new welfare law in Michigan

MICHIGAN.-There's relief for thousands of Michigan residents who were going lose their welfare benefits.
Tuesday a federal judge ruled against the state and accused it of "slight of hand,” saying the state failed to give proper notice to the nearly 41,000 people who were set to lose benefits. They were told about the cuts September 11th.
The payments for some were set to end today.
