Judge orders psychiatric evaluation for mother accused of murder

DETROIT — A judge ordered a psychiatric evaluation for a Detroit mother accused of fatally stabbing her 8-year-old daughter.
Semeria Greene appeared in court on Wednesday for a preliminary hearing.
Authorities believe that Greene stabbed her daughter on Dec. 30. She faces felony murder and child abuse charges.
The felony murder charge carries a penalty of mandatory life in prison without parole.
