Just days away from opening Kroc Center in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- We are just days away from the opening of the new Kroc Center in downtown South Bend.

Monday, ABC 57 took a tour of the new facility.

There is a large theater, an indoor water park, a fitness room, a climbing wall and plenty of room for classes.

The Salvation Army hopes it will become a destination for people in the city.

Major Bob Webster with The Salvation Army said, "There's just a lot of excitement and enthusiasm.  There's really anything you can dream.  Or imagine, there's a full banquet center, we provide all the food services."

The Kroc family helped foot the bill for the new center.

They are the founders of McDonald's. T

he Salvation Army also raised $10,000,000 locally.
