Juvenile arrested following shooting in La Porte

LA PORTE, Ind. -- One juvenile was injured and a second juvenile was arrested following a shooting in the area of F and 4th streets, according to La Porte Police.

Police were dispatched to F and 4th streets early Sunday morning for reports of shots fired.

When they arrived, they located a juvenile with a non-life threatening injury. The juvenile was transported to the hospital.

A suspect was developed and located within an hour of the original call.

The suspect, a juvenile, was taken into custody and a firearm was recovered, police said.

Police say the suspect and the victim knew each other.
