K-9 Faust helps deputies find drug paraphernalia in Cass County

Deputies were able to locate a subject and drug paraphernalia that tested positive for methamphetamine with the help of Cass County K-9 Faust and his handler in Howard Township on Friday.

According to the Cass County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to a call regarding a subject at a foreclosed residence on the 1800 block of Barron Lake Road.

The subject, a man on parole who failed to make his whereabouts known to officials, was found inside the residence. 

Deputies say Faust and his handler, Deputy Nevins, located the paraphernalia in the residence as well. 

The subject was arrested and transported to the Cass County Jail.
