Katie Conboy installed as the 14th president at St. Mary’s

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- On Saturday Katie Conboy was sworn in as the 14 president of Saint Mary’s in the O’Laughlin Auditorium.

There were approximately 500 people in attendance.

Conboy has been Saint Mary’s president since June 1, 2020 but the ceremony was postponed because of the pandemic.

Previously Conboy has served as a provost and senior vice president at Simmon’s University, a women’s college in Boston.

She was also a professor at Stonehill College for over two decades.

In her academic history she earned her Ph.D. in English Literature from the University of Notre Dame and received her bachelor’s degree with honors in 1981 from the University of Kansas.
