BRIDGMAN, Ind. -- The Kelly Cares Foundation held its fifth annual Kelly Cares Golf Invitational on Monday.
The event was held at the Lost Dunes Golf Club and boasted a day of golfing fun.
Supporters were invited to enjoy food and a full round of golf at the course.
Later, the foundation held a reception complete with an award presentation.
Notre Dame Football Coach Brian Kelly and his wife Paqui Kelly presented two $10,000 checks to both the Lou Holtz Foundation and the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Fund.
“Probably the best part of the job is… this is fun and all but it’s the thank you cards that we get from people, that’s what makes life meaningful in the end and we’re really blessed when he says that people have come to us and helped us be successful as a foundation it’s because we’ve met the right people that want to be game changers and want to make a difference and we’ve been able to facilitate that,” Paqui Kelly said.
The Kelly Cares Foundation raised $300,000 at the event and all proceeds went to benefit the Lou Holtz Foundation, the Ara Parseghian Medical Research Fund as well as other charitable organizations.
