Kennedy Primary wraps up food drive

SOUTH BEND — South Bend's Kennedy Primary Academy Center wrapped up its food drive with the "Stuff a Bus" celebration.

They loaded all the food collected over the last three weeks into a bus. Everything they collected is going to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.

The kids, teachers and parents at the school were able to collect more than 4,000 items.

"I enjoy it because the people are really nice and they're happy that I'm doing this," said fourth grader Bel Leeper.

Those who put it on say through events like these, kids learn how easy it is to help to community.
