Kenneth G. Rare Coins owner due in court for ring theft charges

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A Mishawaka businessman facing some serious charges, is expected in court Friday afternoon.
Kenneth Gaipa, 42, owner of Kenneth G. Rare Coins, was charged with theft in connection with a stolen diamond ring.
Police say he bought the ring for $350. That's thousands of dollars below its appraisal value. The ring was reported stolen last August.
In a separate investigation, Gaipa was also charged with welfare and Medicaid fraud.
