Ken's Discount holds old-fashioned auction

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- Imagine going to one place and finding a stuffed hippo head, real sharpened swords, and even antique shotgun shells.

Ken's Discount store had all of that and more, as hundreds of folks gathered for an old-fashioned auction and liquidation sale.

Many people we talked to are happy that one place in the area is offering up deals to the community.

"When you look at what things cost new, especially in the tools that they're auctioning right now and when you're saving 75, 80, 90% on something that will be practically as good as new, your dollar goes a lot further," said Dave Derda.

Ken, the owner of the Discount Sales Stor" said he tries to hold this kind of sale every couple of years.
