Kentucky soldier surprises daughter at school

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. -- A little girl in Kentucky got quite the surprise at her elementary school.

She was brought down to the floor at assembly and asked to introduce a very special guest.

But she did not know it was her dad.

He had been overseas and suffered several injuries.

"It was a little overwhelming especially when so many tears started flowing," said David Wilkinson. "But yeah, it was worth every minute of it."

He is just home for Christmas. Then he has to report for duty in New Mexico where he will wait for an official medical discharge.
