KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. -- Residents of Kosciusko County provided their thoughts on Flock surveillance in the county council meeting held September 10. Many residents are calling for the 30 automatic license plate reader cameras to be taken down.

According to members of the council, they do not have the authority to end the county's contract with Flock, but they can end any new Flock developments as well as ending funding for digital evidence platforms. This can only be approved by the city commissioners.

The motions will now carry over to the county's wider budget, which is set to be voted on in October.

The next county commission meeting has been set for September 22.
