Officers in Kosciusko County continue to fight the ever present meth battle there.

Thursday afternoon, a man turned himself in after running from police earlier this week.

On Monday. October 27, Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers responded to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle parked near County Road 450 North and Brown Road. The man inside that vehicle, 27-year-old Kane Hively from Warsaw, ran off from the scene but showed up at the County jail at noon to turn himself in.

At the scene that night, 27-year-old Nicole Winstead, of Claypool was arrested. She is accused of dealing meth and running a mobile meth lab inside a vehicle.

Winstead was already wanted on theft charges.

On Wednesday night, the task force was contacted by Mentone officers concerning an odor permeating from a home off State Road 19 and County Road 200 South. That smell was believed to be caused by meth being cooked.

The homeowner, Billy Baldridge, 41, was arrested and charged with felony manufacturing methamphetamine.
