Kroc-Fest set to give free school supplies to local kids

SOUTH BEND, Ind. --- With the first day of school quickly approaching, many parents are concerned about getting all of the necessary school supplies for their children.
Now, thanks to Kroc-Fest, thousands of children will be provided with school supplies absolutely free of charge.
"You can see the level of appreciation on the parents' faces. Because they know their child will have what they need on the first day of school," said the superintendent of the South Bend Community School Corporation, Carole Schmidt.
Kroc-Fest takes place Saturday from 3-6 PM at the Kroc Center in South Bend.
