Kroger adjusting hours to restock, disinfect stores

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Grocery retail chain Kroger announced that they are modifying their open hours to 7 a.m. though 10 p.m. in order to restock their shelves and clean their stores.

The changes will affect stores in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri and Ohio beginning Sunday night.

Kroger says they want to ensure that their customers have access to food, medicine and cleaning supplies and to devote more resources to cleaning their stores.

Walmart also announced that they would be altering their open hours in light of the coronavirus outbreak.
