Kroger celebrates back-to-school season with savings for teachers

INDIANAPOLIS – Kroger is celebrating the time of year when parents and teachers are getting ready for back-to-school shopping. To that end, Kroger offers its first Teachers and Honorary Teachers savings event until September 9th.

Beginning August 9th, teachers, school administrators, and parents who shop at Kroger on Wednesdays will save an extra 10% on general merchandise, including school and craft supplies, toys, games, sporting goods, housewares, apparel, and electronics.

“We’re always excited by back-to-school season. We’re uplifted and encouraged by the enthusiasm for education we see at this time of year. And, especially during this challenging time, Kroger is pleased to offer this discount to teachers and ‘honorary teachers’ as a demonstration of our gratitude for what they do for their students and our communities,” said Colleen Juergensen, president of Kroger Central Division.

To take part in the Teachers and Honorary Teachers event, customers can shop in-store or with the Kroger Pickup program using their shopper’s card and just ask for the discount at the checkout.
