Kyle Rudolph weighs in on fellow Irish, Joe Alt, ahead of NFL Draft
DETROIT, Mich-- Former Notre Dame tight end Kyle Rudolph believes Joe Alt is "one of the best offensive linemen in the draft".
Joe Alt sits at the top of many teams' draft board as one of the best offensive linemen available. Former Notre Dame and NFL tight end Kyle Rudolph agrees.
"I mean, Joe is one of the best offensive linemen in the draft. He certainly moves like a tight end, he might be a tackle, but he moves like a tight end. And Joe's the type of guy who just comes from the pedigree. His dad, you know, is all-pro-offensive lineman, you know, there's been such an incredible pedigree of offensive linemen coming out of Notre Dame, you know, when you're drafting the top 10, you're drafting the top 10, you can't miss, you need to pick a player that's going to be there and Joe's that guy, you know. He's going to come in and be a starter for the next 10 years for your organization," Rudolph said.
As for Windy City fans, who want to know what you’re getting Caleb Williams as the potential first overall pick to the Chicago Bears.
"Time will tell obviously, but in the evaluation process, I think it's kind of a tale of the last two seasons. All right, getting back in structure. I think whatever is going on Chicago is gonna continue to fortify their line and get it done. They've added the receiving corner to get that done already. I think that's one of the reasons. He's a good decision maker. Overall, the Notre Dame game, I think, was an aberration this year, but the boy is accurate with the football, goes in the right places. Just a maturity about him on the field, that people may have questions about some of the things I've seen off the field," NFL Analyst Charles Davis said.
