La Porte County bell ringer seeks world record

LA PORTE, Ind. -- A La Porte County man is just about ready to take on the bell ringing record.
Pastor Billy Nickrand of Door Village United Methodist Church in La Porte will try and ring a Salvation Army bell for more than 60 hours straight.
He'll do it on Thursday. He has to stand the entire time and he can't eat during the 60 hours. He'll only be able to use the bathroom once every four hours.
The church plans to livestream the big event on their Facebook.
