La Porte County lawyer filing state fair lawsuit against Indiana

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind.-A La Porte County lawyer is filing a lawsuit against the state.
Kenneth J. Allen says it's unfair that the state is trying to cap its liability in the deadly state fair stage collapse. He’s the same lawyer representing the family of victim, Tammy Vandam. Allen says he hopes the suit will overturn the $5 million cap.
He said this will allow the state to help cover additional costs for the victims.
