La Porte County man becomes record-breaking bell ringer

LA PORTE, Ind. -- 'Tis the season for the sounds of bells and in La Porte they're using them to ring in a new world record.
Rev. Billy Nickrand broke the bell ringing record at 60 straight hours. He started at noon on Thursday and wrapped up at midnight Sunday.
His goal was to raise $5,000 but he surpassed that and raised over $6,000.
