La Porte Police investigating shots fired Thursday afternoon

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. – The City of La Porte Police Department responded to a call regarding shots fired in the 1200 block of Maple Ave. this afternoon, the police department reported.
The La Porte Community School Corporation offices at the former Boston Middle School were locked down for a brief period out of an abundance of caution during the incident.
At this time, police say there is no present danger to the public. The investigation is ongoing.
