LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. -- LaGrange County Sheriff's Office announces K9 Ryker's retirement.

Sherrif Tracy Harker and Chief Deputy Juan Arroyo congratulated K9 Ryker on his well-earned retirement after eight years of service with the LaGrange County Sheriff's Office.

Ryker is a 10 year-German Shepherd and Malinois mix. He began his career in 2017 as a patrol and narcotics detection dog. Ryker played a vital role in keeping the community safe with his handler Corporal Emelander.

Corporal Emelander will continue his service in the patrol division.
