K9 unit takes down fleeing suspect in LaGrange

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. – Deputies from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Office were serving an arrest warrant to Dusty Edmondson on Friday around 1 p.m. in the 2400 block of State Road 3 when a foot chase broke out.

Officers were speaking to Dusty when he took off north on State Road 3.

Deputies attempted to use a taser on Dusty but it wasn’t effective so K9 Klara was brought on scene.

The chase continued past County Road 250 N and into the woods nearby when Klara was able to stop the suspect.

Dusty attempted to fight off the deputies but was eventually arrested.

He was treated and released by Parkview LaGrange Medics for a dog bite to the leg.

Dusty was then booked into the county jail on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement, possession of methamphetamine, identity deception, and for outstanding felony warrants.
