Lake Michigan College extends online learning for rest of spring semester
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich.— Lake Michigan College on Monday announced that it will extend online, distance learning through the end of the spring semester in response to the state-wide “Stay Home, Stay Safe” executive order.
Originally, the college transitioned its in-person classes to be temporarily delivered online.
Now, students will spend the rest of their semester learning online.
Lake Michigan College’s spring semester ends on May 1.
The college has also made changes to its summer term schedule. It will now begin on June 9 and end on August 21.
All summer courses will be delivered online.
Course registration dates for summer and fall semesters have also changed. Veterans may register on April 27 and all other students can do so on April 28.
The college did add that if the shelter-in-place order is lifted by April 14, it will plan to open its campuses back up to employees and the general public while observing public health recommendations.
