STEVENSVILLE, Mich.—A Michiana high school football team has decided to opt out of playoffs this year.
Lakeshore High School officials said in a letter to families that the MHSAA’s decision to resume the playoffs into the holiday season was challenging for multiple reasons.
The Lancers are also trying to implement a COVID-19 testing program for players but it is not set up yet.
The team made the decision to cancel the playoff game set for January 2 for safety reasons.
