Lane closures on U.S. 31 south of South Bend for bridge work

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - INDOT announced lane closures on U.S. 31 for three bridge projects between Kern Road and County Line Road/Tyler Road starting on or after Monday, June 10.

The alternating lane closures are expected to last through late September for bridge deck overlay maintenance projects at Roosevelt Road, S.R. 4, and Heston Ditch.

INDOT says drivers should be prepared for changing traffic patterns in the area and delays during peak times.

Drivers should allow extra time when driving through work zones and follow traffic directions carefully.

Drivers are asked to slow down, use caution, and drive distraction-free through work zones.
