LaPorte interchange to close for improvements Monday

Work for the LaPorte interchange, or Exit 49, is scheduled to begin Monday, October 17th. 

Indiana Toll Road officials say the interchange that connects the Indiana Toll Road with State Road 39, will be closed until November 18th. 

The construction will take place for repaving and improvements to bridges. 

Officials say the work is part of ITR Concession Co.’s PUSH project which will invest $200 million into rehabilitation of roads from Lake Station to Elkhart. 

So far, crews have repaved 205 out of 292 miles of the project.
