LaPorte Police seeking info on hit and run driver

LaPorte Police are investigating a hit and run accident involving a pregnant woman that happened Sunday night.

The victim told police around 6:45 p.m. she was crossing Ohio Street to her mailbox when a vehicle struck her in the leg.

The victim, who is pregnant, fell onto her tailbone and lower back.

The driver yelled at her to get out of the road, according to police.

The driver continued eastbound towards Boyd Boulevard without stopping.

The suspect vehicle is described as an older model black "boxy" looking sedan and was driven by an older white male.
The victim sought medical treatment.
