Last Free Fishing Day of 2021 is September 25

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources’ final Free Fishing Day of 2021 will take place on September 25 across the state.

Free Fishing Days allow Indiana residents to fish on any of the state’s public waters without a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp.

At Saturday’s fishing day, several DNR properties, including some state parks and state recreation areas, are offering events and activities to encourage visitors and families to try fishing.

September 25 is also National Hunting & Fishing Day, which recognizes the impact of individuals as a positive force to protect natural resources.
