ELKHART, Ind. - Elkhart Community Schools is giving families the chance to learn more about the district during “Explore ECS: Cuisine, Careers and Bus Adventures” on November 1.

The event offers a better look at the ECS Food Services department, allowing attendees to try free samples and talk with staff about what the district offers.

Explore ECS is also a hiring event: the district still has support staff, food services and transportation jobs open. During the event, applicants can learn more about these positions and how to apply.

Those interested in transportation openings will even get the chance to drive a bus in a controlled environment.

The district’s website also lists all available opportunities.

The event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at Roosevelt STEAM Academy, located at 201 W. Wolf Ave.
