Legend Park brings their best scares and entertainment outlets this year
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Legend Park has some new additions this year. Ricky Singleton, a park volunteer, says, “We're not a haunted house only, right? We do have a haunted house on property, but what we are is we're a small amusement park that is continuing to grow, and, who knows, maybe someday it will be a big amusement park.”
This year there is a new outdoor attraction, an express train ride through the park. There are also some new food additions and attractions for younger kids.
Legend Park takes a different approach to entertainment, offering many options for all ages. Singleton says, “We want to end the stigma that I've heard of my entire life. 'There's nothing to do in Michiana, like let's go to Chicago. There's nothing to do around here.' Well, there is Legend Park offers a ton of different things to do.”
At the park they have six different haunted attractions but what's known as “Ward 13” is the real showstopper, winning best single attraction for a haunted house in the world multiple times.
The park currently sits on over 20 acres, and each year they find new ways to grow and develop.
Singleton explains, "We want this to be a place where people can come not just on Halloween, not just to get scared, but a place where families can come and enjoy themselves for hours.”
