Liberty Mutual transitioning some Mishawaka employees to work from home

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Liberty Mutual will be making changes to the company's service center operation models and will transition Mishawaka employees to work from home, according to company officials.

In May, 230 Mishawaka employees will be transitioned to the work from home plan.

They will also use an external partner to handle some of its customer service calls, which will eliminate 18 positions locally. Affected employees will be able to apply for other jobs or accept a severance package.

There are 240 employees in Mishawaka that will not be affected by the change.

However, it will be offering its building at 100 Lincolnway West for sale.
