Lightning strike causes hotel fire in Berrien County

NEW BUFFALO, Mich. -- Police are investigating a fire that broke out at the Harbor Grand Hotel in New Buffalo on Friday.

According to the New Buffalo Police Chief, a lightning strike caused the fire around 6 p.m Friday evening.

No injuries have been reported and all occupants have been moved to the Marina Grand Resort. 

Five different departments were at the scene putting out the fire and hot spots, and the fire has been contained.
