Shop with a cop brings Christmas joy
SOUTH BEND, Indiana -- A new bike sharing system launched last week in South Bend is getting a lot of traction.
According to the company, over 2,500 people downloaded the LimeBike app over the weekend.
Currently, there are 183 bikes operating in the city. But, the company is continuing to put more out there and plans has plans to deploy over 500 by the end of the month.
A LimeBike rep says there each bike has used more than 2 times per day, making for over one thousand rides over the weekend, when rides were free.
The app shows nearby bikes and allows users to scan a code on the bike to unlock it for a ride. Rides are $1 for ever 30 minutes.
