Live from Tempe: Sun Devils out for revenge

Notre Dame won last year's matchup against Arizona State, so the Sun Devils are out for revenge this year.

Notre Dame almost gave it away to number 22 ranked Arizona in 2013's Shamrock Series game.

Notre Dame pulled off the victory in a last minute thriller with a final score of 37-34.

The two were tied until the final minutes when Notre Dame pulled ahead because of Kyle Brindza's 25-yard field goal and Dan Fox's 14-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Quarterback Tommy Rees threw for 279 yards that game while Everett Golson was out for an academic suspension.

This year will be the first time Golson will play against the Sun Devils.

Both teams are heading into this game ranked.

Notre Dame is 8th and ASU is 11th in the AP poll.
