Local businesses to get big boost from USC weekend

NOTRE DAME, Ind. --The countdown is on to USC!  This weekend, around 200,000 fans are expected to descend upon Notre Dame, for the game.  That means big business for local proprietors!

Local hotels have been booked for almost a year!  We talked to Shalonda Markham, the Revenue Manager of the Inn at Saint Mary's.

She says they are making some changes this weekend, to accommodate all of the fans.

"Our Bistro 933 right next door inside of the Hilton is opening up actually for lunch and that's the first time that they're doing it for lunch and for dinner later.  They are actually going to be staying open until about 2 a.m. on Saturday,” said Markham.

The hotel is also booking more staff, to keep up with the extra guests.  Saturday marks the first night game at Notre Dame Stadium in 21 years!
