MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A special birthday party was thrown today in Mishawaka to celebrate a centenarian.
Elsie DeMeulenaere, now 100-years-old, was surrounded by her family and friends to ring in the momentous milestone. She was raised in Mishawaka her entire life, and never left except to go on trips around the country to visit family. She worked at the well-known ball band factory in Mishawaka and a local grocery store where she made just a dollar an hour.
And of course, we asked her to share her secrets for a long, healthy life.
