SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Representatives from Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana and volunteers visited Lincoln Primary Center on Wednesday to share important lessons about modern jobs and the business world.
The organization calls these events “JA in a Day” which teaches young students the types of skill sets that will be needed for a successful future.
"Learning how to manage money, learning how to make choices, learning how to put away a want if you have something you are in need of. So, it is very important,” said Carmen McFadden, kindergarten teacher at Lincoln Primary Center.
All proceeds from the City of South Bend’s annual JA Beer and Wine Festival at Four Winds Field on May 20 will be given to Junior Achievement to help support and fund local events in the future.
