SAINT JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Local families took to restaurants all across Michiana Sunday to celebrate the wonderful moms and mother figures in their lives for Mother's Day.
Tippecanoe Place in South Bend was just one of those places, where many mothers got treated to a nice meal and were made to feel special.
"I's a special day that sometimes moms don't get all the credit for what they do," says Emily Bastine, a local mother. "So, it's a good day to remember those that took care of us and take care of us every day, that make the doctor's appointments and, you know, do all the things around the house. It's nice to have a day to celebrate us."
Bastine says it was extra special to celebrate the day at Tippecanoe Place, because that's where she would celebrate her mom as a kid on Mother's Day.
