WARSAW, Ind. -- A Kosciusko County family is raising ALS awareness in a creative way!
When Anje Anglin was diagnosed with ALS in March of 2022, she was given 2-5 years to live, like most ALS patients.
This is partly because the disease is hard to diagnose, due to a lack of funding and research.
Anje's family invites the community to help set a Guinness World Record for the longest chain of floating inflatables at Winona Lake next month.
The current record is 350 meters, set in Canada.
The family hopes to break that record on September 9th, with the help of you and your favorite inflatable!
If getting in the water isn't your thing, the family will also host an after party at Tippy Creek Winery that evening! That event features local comedians and musicians you can enjoy. Tickets are $45 in advance or $50 cash at the door, with all proceeds benefitting ALS research.
The Anglin family has a GoFundMe to help cover Anje's expenses. Click here to donate!
You can hear more of Anje's story in this YouTube video or visit the event's Facebook page.
